Christmas Gift Ideas

Hi there, 

So I don't know who else out there is like me and suddenly realised its nearly two weeks until Christmas and they really need to finish their Christmas shopping! Now I hate going shopping near Christmas, its too busy in town, people bumping into each other and finding the present they wanted to buy has sold out. I am definitely a buy online kind of girl and I am also a hunt for bargains kind of girl too ! So I thought I would share with you some of my great gift ideas that I have found online this year, some of them great for people who love Glamping, and some just because I thought they would make great presents. I'v e thrown in a few bargain tips too!

It is safe to say when camping in this country you never know what the weather is going to be like, we all pray for glorious sunshine but sometimes this doesn't happen! Having a list of games and things children can do no matter what the weather is a way of preventing boredom kicking in and keeping your holiday entertaining for them and relaxing for you.

Ten Great Glamping Ideas!

What a brilliant idea taking an old pill organiser box and filling it with your favourite spices and herbs. You would just need to label the top of each compartment with whatever you want inside and this is so much easier than bringing individual bottles should you want to add a little spice to your recipes.

Finalist for the Prestigious Yorkshire White Rose Awards

CampKatur has recently been informed that it has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Prestigious Yorkshire White Rose Awards , we will learn of how we have done when the winner is announced in November 2014 at the awards ceremony, we are all sooo excited about this and are very proud of all of our team here on Camp for all of their hard work since we opened in April 2013.

Dubs Int Dales 2014 Tickets on sale now

Dubs In't Dales VW enthusiasts gathering is back for 2014 after the success and mass of great feedback from our trial 2013 gathering. 

The event this year will be held from the 26/09/2014 to 28/09/2014 on the beautiful Camp Hill Estate, Kirklington, DL8 2LS 

Everybody last year seem to love the format of an end of summer camp out so we are keeping it the same for this year with a lot of the same bands playing plus a load more 

Anyone wishing to attend the "end of summer camp out" will have a choice of a full weekend from the Friday to Sunday or just the part weekend for Saturday and Sunday. 

Ticket prices include either bringing your own tent to pitch or you may opt to stay in your campervan, the choice is yours:-) Throughout the weekend we will have loads of VW's to admire, live music, Dub drive in the dales, show and shine, family fun and games and great food & Drink on offer. 

The Camp Hill estate is also an activities estate so we will have other activities that you can have a go on such as Segway tours, Quadbiking and adrenaline filled high rope course and 650Ft Zip Wire all at special discounted rates for Dubs In't Dales ticket holders. 

A percentage of Proceeds from this years event will be going to the Macmillan Cancer charity in loving memory or our dear friends Sarah Jane Unsworth-forsyth and Darren Platt who both sadly lost the battle to cancer but loved all things VW. So not only will you have a great weekend but you will be helping to support a valuable and worthwhile charity by coming along and supporting this event.

Movie Camp Out Night

What is it? - we are having a movie camp-out where you come and enjoy a classic movie in the great outdoors. You can either make a full night of it by bringing your tent and staying for the night or just come along and enjoy the movie and go home afterwards... either way it will be great fun night out with lots of other surprising things going on as-well as the movie.

When is it? - Saturday 31st May 2014 from 6pm onwards
